PLANNING A VISIT TO THE HERITAGE CENTRE

A visit to the Dean Heritage Centre is an excellent way to begin your time in the Forest of Dean.

As well as five modern galleries, outside displays, art and craft demonstrations, the Centre provides a visitor information point.

Friendly staff are on hand to advise you on nearby walks and attractions.

With five acres to explore, a visit to the Heritage Centre can last anything between a few hours, to a whole day if you decide to stay for a picnic or enjoy one of our nearby woodland walks and trails.

And, if the weather is wet, then our five indoor galleries and Museum activities for children, can keep you easily occupied.

Or, why not coincide your visit with one of our many special events, celebrating the history and traditions of the Forest. See our events programme for more details.

Dogs are allowed in the Heritage Centre's car park (on a lead) but not on the main site, guide dogs excepted.
